Myra L. Martin, of Brilliant, Ohio passed away on her 77th birthday, Wednesday September 6, 2017 in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born September 6, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Martin and Martha J. (Yingst) Gaydosh Bollini. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Dehnart; and her step-father, Joseph L. Bollini.

Myra graduated from Brilliant High School in 1958. She was a retired secretary for the Buckeye Local School System. Myra was a member of the former Brilliant Civic League; and also one of the founding members of the Tree People, a beautification committee in Brilliant.

Surviving are her husband, Jim Martin; four children, Jeff (Rhonda) Martin of Rayland, Scott Martin of Brilliant, Lisa Martin of Brilliant and David “Bubba” (Kelly) Martin of Steubenville; seven grandchildren, Brittnie Smith, Emily (David) Trimble, Stacey Maxwell, Heidi (Ryan) Lemasters, Hannah Martin, Ellen Hanood, and Dylan (Casey) Czoka; two great-grandchildren; and twin great-granddaughters on the way.

Those who knew her knew that she loved her family and friends, adored her grandchildren, and deeply missed her best friends Shirley, Linda and Joan. She always looked forward to everyone being home for holiday dinners, making cheesecakes for those who had a special place in her heart, her class reunions, and traveling with her friends. She would want you to remember her in the spring as you drive through Brilliant and see the beautiful flowering trees in full bloom and the locust trees arching over the street.

In following with Myra’s wishes there will be no services.
